Vaibhav Gupta from Kanpur is the winner of the 14th season of Indian Idol. His incredible vocal ability has captured the attention of the country. Not only did his impressive performances wow the judges, but he also received plaudits from prominent celebrities who attended.

Gupta received a trophy, Rs 25 lakh and a Maruti Suzuki Brezza on Sunday night. Piyush Panwar and Shubhadeep Das Chowdhury placed first and second, respectively, and each took home a trophy and Rs 5 lakh. As the third runner-up, Ananya Pal was awarded Rs 3 lakh.

Gupta was one of the worthy finalists who had opportunity to sing playback at the grand finale, which aired on March 3. Glowing, Gupta said he was happy with his trophy triumph and thanked the audience for their resolute support.

 Gupta said, “It feels surreal to have won the ‘Indian Idol 14′ trophy. Taking forward the legacy of this beloved and prestigious show is a tremendous honour. This journey has been an exhilarating rollercoaster filled with multiple emotions, challenges and unforgettable moments.”

Vaibhav also said,“I want to do playback singing for Salman Khan, Vicky Kaushal, and Ranveer Singh now. I will try my best that this happens someday. I want to bring back live music, the symphony kinds. The 90s feel is now coming back. People are listening to Kishore Da again, and this generation is focusing more on the melody. It is a very good era of music, and I want to present a new wave in it.”

Gupta‘s accomplishment was greeted with joy and satisfaction by judges Vishal Dadlani, Shreya Ghoshal, and Kumar Sanu, who served as the candidates’ mentors. They also wished him luck in his future endeavors.

Judge Shreya Ghoshal of the reality program talked about Gupta’s abilities. Vaibhav, according to her, has demonstrated adaptability since the audition.

Hussain Kuwajerwala presented the Indian Idol show. Himesh Reshammiya and Neha Kakkar were replaced by Kumar Sanu and Shreya Ghoshal, respectively, while Vishal Dadlani returned to the show as a judge. On October 7, 2023, the program had its Sony TV debut. It ran for over five months.
