Director Vidhu Vinod Chopra is a happy man and rightfully so. The filmmaker’s latest film, 12th Fail, has taken the country by storm. The film is a cinematic depiction of the life of IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma and is directed by Vikrant Massey. The film was not only a box office success but also received critical and celebrity acclaim. In fact, the film has reached the 100-day milestone and the team of 12th Fail celebrated the occasion with a grand party.

At the event, Vidhu Vinod Chopra shared a conversation he had with his wife before the release of the film. Vidhu Vinod Chopra is married to renowned film critic and author Anupama Chopra, and according to the filmmaker, Chopra is unsure about ” Failure 12″ will be released in theaters and asked her husband to opt for the OTT release route.

“100 days ago, we had the show for the first time on this screen. If we talk about numbers, Rs 100, now there is Rs 500, Rs 1,000, Rs 2,000 but for me it comes down to one thing. Your intention What is it? Why did you make this film? You make an honest film that can hit these numbers. When I was making this film, everyone including my dearest wife [Anupama Chopra] told me To release it on OTT!” Showsha shared the filmmaker’s conversation with Vikrant Massey.
Narrating a conversation with his wife, Vidhu Vinod Chopra added, “She [Anupama Chopra] said, ‘No one will visit Vinod Teh!’ “Teri aur Vikrant ki film”!” [Your and Vikrant ki film!” ]
Furthermore, these (trade) bodies also wrote that it will open at Rs 2 lakh and have a lifetime of Rs 30 lakh! Everyone scares me…it’s a small opening, but that’s okay because see where we are?
