JNU: Jahangir National University is an upcoming Hindi movie. The movie is directed by Vinay Sharma and produced by Pratima Datta under the banner of Mahakaal Movies and PVR Inox Pictures. Starring Siddharth Bodke, Urvashi Rautela, Piyush Mishra, Ravi Kishan, Vijay Raaz, Rashmi Desai, Atul Pandey and Sonnalli Seygall.  The movie is slated to be released in theaters on April 5, 2024.

JNU Synopsis:

The narrative of the film has not been revealed, however it is suspected that it would focus on the protest against the execution of convicted Kashmiri terrorist Afzal Guru at JNU in 2016.

The narrative focuses around Sourabh Sharma, a JNU student from a rural village who “gets restless” about the Left wing’s “anti-national” activities on campus. The storyline also references Arushi Ghosh, the Left-wing president.

Overview:

The movie tells the tale of Sourabh Sharma, a former small-town resident who is currently a student there. There, he becomes agitated at the various anti-national actions of left-wing students and speaks out against them. Akhilesh Pathak, often known as “baba,” serves as Sourabh‘s charioteer and mentor as he pursues his goal of challenging communist dominance in JNU. Richa becomes Sourabh’s life companion and a pillar of support along this route. Where the left gang was unaffected, they faced significant challenges from the right wing and Sourabh, which infuriated them as Sourabh entered in the university politics by winning one of the ongoing elections and making JNU history.
