Lal Salaam Box Office Collection Day 5: The sports drama seems to be struggling at the domestic box office. According to a report, Lal Salaam garnered an estimated ₹1.16 crore nett on its fifth day of release. The movie hit the theaters on February 9. Directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth and featuring Rajinikanth in an extended cameo, the film stars Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in lead roles.

Lal Salaam Box Office Collection:

As per the portal, Lal Salaam amassed ₹12.35 crore nett in India over five days. The film opened at ₹3.55 crore nett across India in all languages (Tamil and Telugu) on Friday. Subsequently, it earned ₹3.25 crore nett on Saturday and remained steady on Sunday, collecting ₹3.15 crore nett. However, on its first Monday, Lal Salaam witnessed a decline in numbers, earning roughly ₹1.24 crore.

About Lal Salaam:

Originally slated for release during the Pongal festival in January, the movie was rescheduled, with production house Lyca Productions recently announcing the new release date. Presented by A Subaskaran, the film features music by AR Rahman. Aishwarya Rajinikanth returned to directing Lal Salaam after an eight-year hiatus. The movie stars Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in lead roles, portraying characters who have been rivals since childhood. Rajinikanth portrays Moideen Bhai in the film.

Plot of the movie:

Set in the village of Murarbad, renowned for its Hindu-Muslim unity, the plot of the movie revolves around two cricket players, Thiru and Shamsuddin, who hail from different religious backgrounds. Their peaceful coexistence is disrupted when they fall victim to manipulation by Raj, the son of a politician aiming to stoke communal tensions for political gain.

A series of events unfolds, leading to Thiru inadvertently injuring Shamsuddin during a cricket match, further exacerbating the simmering tensions between the communities. As the situation escalates, the village teeters on the brink of a communal riot.

However, amidst the chaos, with the intervention of external forces and the realization of their shared humanity, Thiru and Shamsuddin come to terms with their differences and reconcile. Together, they thwart Raj’s divisive schemes, ultimately restoring harmony and unity to their village.
