South film industry’s superstar Dhanush and Aishwarya Rajnikanth was known to be one of the most powerful couples of Tollywood but now they shocked everyone by announcing their separation as couple . The duo has two sons , Yatra and Linga , aged 15 and 11 respectively. After spending 18 years of togetherness , the couple announced to part their ways last night , January 17 by making official statements on Instagram and Twitter handles . Dhanush wrote on his twitter ,”18 years of togetherness as friends, couple, as parents and well wishers to each other. The journey has been of growth, understanding, adjusting and adapting,” the statement on Twitter read. Today we stand at a place where our paths separate. Aishwaryaa and I have decided to part ways as a couple and take time to understand us as individuals for the better,” .Dhanush also requested his fans to respect the personal space by posting ahead ,”Respect our Decision ” needed privacy to deal with” the breakup. While Aishwarya took her Instagram to share the statement and summed it up by saying Much love always to you all 🙂 God speed. Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth.” Further she also added “No caption needed…only your understanding n your love necessary!” Many of their fans took to Instagram and Twitter to show their displeasure about the sudden statements made by couple .
Talking back about their marriage , they both got married in year 2004 .
Dhanush is the son of Tamil filmmaker Kasthuri Raja while Aishwarya is Rajnikanth’s eldest daughter. They both belong to well established families in Tamil Film Industry.
