Superstar Shahrukh Khan is all set to collaborate with director Rajkumar Hirani for the very first time. SRK and filmmaker Hirani announced the film today on their respective social media platforms by sharing endearing video. The video unveils the title of film and features Rajkumar Hirani and SRK as themselves in a playful banter . After making movies like 3 Idiots ,  PK and Sanju which proved to be a huge commercial  successes . Now , Hirani is teaming up with SRK for his dream project. The details about the movie are under the wrap  however Shahrukh revealed that film is going to arrive in theatres on December 22 , 2023. He also declared the participation of very talented Taapsee Pannu in ‘Dhunki’ as he tagged her too. The video opens with the interaction of Actor with filmmaker Hirani . Shahrukh  Khan is seen standing in front of a wall full of movie posters of Hiran’s films .Then , the filmmaker comes and asks SRK that what he is looking at , to which he replies,”Ranbir Kapoor in and as Sanju, Aamir Khan as PK, and Sanju baba (Sanjay Dutt)  of course, as Munnabhai MBBS. Such iconic characters. Mere liye bhi aise kuch hai kya ?(Do you have something like this for me?)”Confirming the news, director Rajkumar Hirani said ,”Through the course of my career Shah Rukh Khan has always been on my wish list and after trying to collaborate several times in the past, we were finally destined to have ‘Dunki’ mark our partnership. The energy, charisma, humour and charm that he brings to a film is unparalleled and I look forward to bringing that magic to the big screen.” Further to it , SRK said that ,”Raj Kumar Hirani is one of the finest filmmakers of this generation, we have always spoken about working together and I am extremely happy we are finally doing it with ‘Dunki’. We have just started shooting this month and I am cherishing every moment of it. Raju ke liye main Donkey, Monkey…kuch bhi ban sakta hoon!”
Coming to the details of movie,” the film is produced by Rajkumar Hirani and Gauri Khan and will be presented under the banner of A JIO Studios, Red Chillies Entertainment and Rajkumar Hirani Films. ‘Dhunki’ will feature SRK and Taapsee Pannu in lead roles.
