Satinder Sartaaj is an Indian-Punjabi singer, actor songwriter and poet. He is also known as Sufi singer. Sartaaj came into the limelight with his famous song “Sai” in 2010.
Personal Life:
Satinder Sartaaj was born on 31 August 1982 in the village of Bajrawar, Hoshiarpur, Punjab. His original name is Satinder Pal Singh Saini. He belongs to a middle-class Saini family. His father Balwinder Singh is a farmer and mother is a house wife. He has a brother. Sartaaj is one of the highly qualified singer in Punjabi Industry.
Sartaaj completed his schooling from Government Primary School, Bajrawar, Hoshiarpur. He completed his graduation in Music from Govt. College, Hoshiarpur. He also did a 5-year diploma in classical music from Sangeet Vishard in Jalandhar.
After that he pursued his masters in Music and M.Phil and also did PhD in Sufi Poetry from Punjab University, Chandigarh. Sartaaj also did a diploma and a certificate course in the Persian Language. Sartaaj taught music at Panjab University for six years.
On 9 December 2010, Sartaaj got married to his girlfriend Gauri. He met with Gauri at Panjab University, where they both pursuing their PhD.
Career:
Satinder Sartaaj made his debut with his music album “Tere Qurbaan“. But it couldn’t become so famous.
In 2010, Satinder Sartaaj started his career with the music album named “Sartaaj” and his song ‘Sai‘ became very popular all over the Punjabi Music Industry in India. The album has also famous songs “Nikki Jehi Kudi” and “Filhaal Hawavan“.
In 2011, Sartaaj also released his music album Cheerey Wala. The album included ‘Adhi Kick Ch Start Mera Yamaha‘, ‘Dil Sabh De Vakhre’, ‘Motia Chameli‘, songs became popular.
After that he released another popular songs like, ‘Zikar Tera'(2014), ‘Sajjan Raazi‘ (2016), ‘Hazaarey Wala Munda‘ (2016), ‘Masoomiat‘ (2017), ‘Udaarian‘ (2018), ‘Titli‘ (2022).
In 2017, Sartaaj made his acting debut in the American film “The Black Prince”. He played the role of Maharaja Duleep Singh in the film. The film was released in three languages-English, Punjabi and Hindi.
In 2020, he made his debut in Punjabi film Industry in the Punjabi movie “Ikko Mikke”.
In 2023, Sartaaj appeared in the Punjabi movie “Kali Jotta” along with Neeru Bajwa. All over India and foreign countries everyone has liked this film.

- Satinder Sartaaj won the title for Punjab Heritage Foundation, Patiala.
- Sartaaj won the Best International Act at the Brit Asia TV Music Award.
- He also received the International Punjabi Cinema Debut Icon Award for the movie ‘The Black Prince’.
- In 2018, he was honoured with Punjab Gaurav Award by CM Captain Amrinder Singh.
- In 2019, he received the Mirchi Music Award for the year for the music album ‘Mohabbat De Mausam’.
- In 2019, he also honoured for the album ‘Gurumukhi Da Beta’ at Press Club, Jalandhar.

• He has also two Range Rovers.

Achievements :
In 2017, Sartaaj became the brand ambassador of Panjab University, Chandigarh.
In 2017, Sartaaj started his own foundation named ‘Sartaaj Foundation’. It is a non-government organization, which helped the young students in the field of education, sports, arts and culture.
