Dunki is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language comedy-drama movie. The film is directed by Rajkumar Hirani and produced by Gauri Khan, Rajkumar Hirani and Jyoti Deshpande under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment and Jio Studios. Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, and Boman Irani are the main actors.

After the success of his blockbuster films ‘Pathan’ and ‘Jawan,’ Shahrukh Khan is making a comeback. These films grossed a total of Rs 2200 crore worldwide.

The movie Dunki revolves around the life of Indian immigrants who choose to enter the country through the illegal route and fight to return home. The film is based on the idea of “Donkey Flight,” an illegal backdoor entry method used by countries such as the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States of America.

The plot starts in 1995 when Hardayal Singh Dillon, also known as Hardy, played by Shah Rukh, travels to the little town of Laltu. He meets the people who would later become his closest friends. A common dream of four friends from a Punjabi village is to travel to England. Their issue is that they are missing both their ticket and their visa. They will travel to the place of their dreams; a soldier assures them. A dangerous voyage, boundaries, friendships, longing for one’s hometown, and love those triumphs above everything is the story of Dunki, a comical and endearing tale.

The plot shows Hardy and his friends’ aspirations to relocate foreign. Despite the linguistic barrier, they use the comparison to Indian British rule to support their objectives. Boman Irani makes an appearance as their English teacher, trying to get them ready for life abroad.
