Through real-life situations, the story of the movie “Thana Sadar” strikes a devastating blow to current policies and the absence of governmental structure. It also portrays the young of Punjabi villages today as being destitute, lazy and defiant toward the police.

Review:

Happy Rode's screenplay is commendable for keeping the suspense of a thriller alive while still keeping up with the modern world. However, it progresses slowly. The second half is fast-paced, which might lead to confusion. On the positive side, several of the night scenes with a moving police convoy are brilliantly photographed. The dialogue is worthy of applause, and the background score is appropriate for the theme. The film is a masala blend, complete with an item number and a romance song in due course.
